While Jared McBeth is excited to learn the ropes of criminal law at FIBK as a student-at-law, he comes to us with tremendous previous experience in Worker’s Compensation appeals and plans to continue this work at our firm.
After graduating law school in 2012 Jared worked for many years at the WCB and later for the Government of Alberta’s Fair Practices Office advocating on behalf of injured workers. He also represented clients before a variety of administrative tribunals including the Canada Pension Plan Social Security Tribunal, Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service and the Alberta Human Rights Commission.
Jared understands an adverse administrative tribunal decision may have a tremendous effect on his client's lives and financial well-being. Preparing compelling submissions to administrative decision-making bodies requires a comprehensive understanding of administrative law, procedural fairness, the rules of evidence and the ability for detailed analysis of complex legal issues. Jared believes the services of a competent, well-informed and zealous advocate can be critically important.
