Roselyn Bernardo

Roselyn practices in the areas of criminal defence and immigration. With her multifaceted background, Roselyn is able to offer each of her clients a strategic, comprehensive defence. Fiercely committed to achieving her clients’ legal goals, Roselyn takes the time necessary to fully understand where her clients are coming from and what consequences they are facing, crafting a defence strategy that is effective, timely, and affordable.

Roselyn established a successful legal practice in the Philippines before moving to Canada and furthering her career. With extensive experience in Family Law and Immigration, Roselyn was already a formidable advocate prior to arriving in Calgary.

When being called to the bar in Alberta, Roselyn was focused on developing her criminal expertise. She began her articles at the Provincial Court, working closely with several criminal Judges. She then completed her articles with Adriano Iovinelli, Q.C. These experiences allowed Roselyn to develop an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system – an understanding that she uses daily to ensure her clients get the representation they deserve.

Roselyn understands that any manner of criminal proceeding can have significant immigration consequences. By developing a practice in these overlapping areas of law, Roselyn is able to confidently maneuver her clients through the court and immigration systems, ensuring her clients are afforded every opportunity to minimize negative consequences.
